Youth Ministries

Welcome to the Ann Arbor Vineyard Youth Ministry page!

We aim to provide an environment where our students have a chance to relax and get to know God in a setting that nurtures fun, challenge, and spiritual growth. Please join us  -- there's no pressure... you'll meet new friends, discover how awesome loving Jesus is, and even enjoy some sweet snacks.

Here's what's available:

Sunday Celebration:

Our Jr. High (6th-8th grades) and High School (9th-12th grades) Youth Group meet each Sunday during the 10:30 am celebration in the youth room. We welcome our students to join the congregation in worship at the beginning of the service. After opening worship, Jr. High and High School students will be invited to meet in the youth room. We often start out with some fun games before transitioning into that morning’s lesson. Then our Jr. High and High School will split into their respective groups for small group discussion. We will then come back together to conclude youth group with communion. After youth group, students are welcome to stay in the youth room until 12:00pm to ask more questions or simply just hang out.

Mission Trips, Retreats, & Special Events

Regular ministry events are available for Jr. High and High School students throughout the year.  Sign up your child(ren) by filling out a permission slip and handing any money to the youth director (Checks are cashed approx. 7-14 days) and financial assistance is available for participants.  As youth mature we also make room for them to serve alongside adults in several ministry areas including but not limited to the multi-media and worship teams!

Events from this past year include: Trip to Cedar Point, Knockerball at County Farm Park, High Ropes Course, A Prayer Walk in Ann Arbor, Day at the Beach with Dune Rides, High Ropes Course, a mission trip to Niagara Falls, and serving the Homeless in Ann Arbor.

The best part of Sam’s job is getting to hang out with teenagers! Sam and our other youth leaders are overjoyed when we get to spend time getting to know students and their families. We would love to take you out for your favorite beverage and/or snack to get to know you better. Don’t hesitate to ask!

Do you play sports? Are you involved in theater? Do play an instrument in a band? Are you a dancer? A singer? A slam poet? Let us know! The Youth Ministry team volunteers enjoy supporting our students by attending their extra-curricular activities.
